I had some time to work this out after today's class. I had a heck of a time not speeding up even when using a metronome. So I started working with the track at tempo 1. It was a heck of a lot easier to play with the music in the backround at the drum channel turned down. It seems I am still lifting my left grace note more than my right one. Something to work on.

Your comments are spot on. That's the first step in analyzing your own playing. Better with up strokes. It's hard to bounce the flam taps at this tempo but still try by letting them bounce very high. But much smoother.
